By accessing or using the **Lines** platform (“Lines,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you confirm that you are at least **13 years old**, have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.
## 2. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via the platform or email at least **14 days** before taking effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
## 3. User Accounts
1. **Registration** – You must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information.
2. **Device Limits** – Each subscription tier specifies how many devices may be connected simultaneously; see your subscription details.
3. **Security** – You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your credentials. Notify us immediately of unauthorised use.

2. **Billing** – Fees are billed in advance (monthly, annually, or as otherwise stated) and are **non-refundable**, except where required by law or expressly provided in Section 4.4.
3. **Taxes** – Prices exclude applicable taxes, which will be added where required.
4. **Refund Policy** – If we permanently discontinue the Service (Section 13), unused prepaid fees will be **pro-rata refunded**.
## 5. User Content & Author Rights
1. **Ownership** – Authors retain full ownership of their works.
2. **Platform Licence** – By publishing on Lines, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and technically process your content for the purpose of operating the Service.
3. **Branching & CC BY-NC-SA 4.0** – Where an author designates branching points, derivative works created by other users must be published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence.
4. **Eligibility Rules** – Original authors may set minimum author-level or other criteria for branching participation.
## 6. Payments to Authors
1. **Withdrawal Threshold** – Payout requests may be submitted once earnings reach **USD 100**.
2. **Processing Time** – Requests are reviewed and processed in periodic batches; timing details appear in the account dashboard.
3. **Compliance** – Authors are responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations arising from payments.
## 7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree **not** to:
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or infringes third-party rights;
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the platform’s source code;
- Circumvent device limits, security features, or access controls.
